#OP HURRICANE

#ARRESTS | Three people were arrested yesterday (11/07/26) following warrants led by our #Oldham Neighbourhood Team as part of Operation Hurricane.

Op Hurricane is our coordinated crackdown on the anti-social use of off-road bikes, e-bikes, and quad bikes across the region. These warrants were in relation to ongoing anti-social use of e-bikes and Surron bikes, particularly in the #StMary's area.

Two men, aged 18 and 29, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit damage. They have all been bailed for this offence pending further investigation.

Inspector Amie Whitehead from our Neighbourhood Policing Team in Oldham said: "The anti-social and dangerous use of e-bikes can have a significant impact on our communities and potentially puts other road-users or pedestrians at risk.

"These warrants demonstrate our continued commitment, through Operation Hurricane, to identifying and targeting those who use e-bikes to engage in criminality or anti-social behaviour."
